Jane Fonda founded The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention, GCAPP, 20 years ago with a singular purpose – to eliminate teen pregnancy in Georgia. You might think this would be a goal shared by all regardless of political leanings, but financial support began to tighten due to collateral issues swirling around teen pregnancy. The Bee Colony’s work helped GCAPP highlight the outcomes of their work that empowers youth at risk to rise above the circumstances of their environment, tapping into their own unique potential for success. Since that time, GCAPP’s work has transformed lives and communities throughout Georgia and has become a model for the nation with its evidence-based work providing education and broader access to public health options for adolescents.
